Samsung Electronics’ latest Galaxy S24 series smartphones have experienced a robust start since their release, with sales registering double-digit growth in key markets during the first three weeks, according to industry data released on Monday.
According to market research firm Counterpoint Research, between January 28 and February 17, global sales of the Galaxy S24 series increased by 8% compared to the same period last year for the previous Galaxy S23 series.
Notably, Samsung observed a remarkable 22% surge in sales of the new smartphone model in its home market, South Korea. The Western European market witnessed a significant spike of 28% in sales, fueled by strong preorders in countries like Britain, Germany, and France. In the United States, sales also grew by 14%.
The breakdown of sales among the different models revealed that the most expensive variant, the S24 Ultra, accounted for 52% of the total sales. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus contributed 27% and 21%, respectively.
