Today, most Internet service providers are marketed as high-speed. Depending on the place where you live, it can be entirely different. Conducting a nPerf Internet Speed Test is a free, quick, easy way to check your Internet service’s performance in Bangladesh (Banglalink, Grameenphone, Robi, TeleTalk, etc).
The speed test is quite simple to understand: the higher the speeds displayed, the better your connection.
How does a speed test work?
The purpose of a speed test is to provide you with accurate results regarding the quality of your connection. nPerf test uses three types of measurement to do this.
- The ping, corresponds to the latency time of your connection. That is to say, the time required to send and return a data packet between your terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone) and the server used for the test. The lower the latency, the faster the communication is established. Consider this data, particularly if you are keen on online games or watching films and series online.
- The download speed of your connection: this is the speed at which data from the Internet network is routed to your terminal. This flow determines, for example, the downloading of files and the display of web pages.
- The upload speed corresponds to the information sent by your computer on the Internet (emails, photo sharing on social networks).
How do you interpret the results after the test?
If your ping is less than 30 ms, it is excellent! It is considered very good between 30 and 60 ms, and between 60 and 100 ms is good. The value between 100 and 200 ms is acceptable, but be careful; it becomes mediocre once it exceeds 200 ms. From 300 ms, it is even downright bad.
The mobile application of nPerf, available on Android and iOS, goes beyond a simple speed test by integrating a streaming and browsing test to measure the Internet quality of experience (QoE).
Each user performing a speed test captures a snapshot of a connection for a given time, location, device, and technology.
Easily check the coverage of mobile networks in Bangladesh
It works by operator (Banglalink, Grameenphone, Robi, and TeleTalk) and localization. In other words, this interactive map powered by nPerf represents the coverage of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G mobile networks. Select one carrier and zoom in to see the city or any area you want.
The data is collected from tests carried out by the nPerf app users. These are tests conducted in real conditions, directly in the field. The more data there is, the more comprehensive the maps will be! All of the test results are displayed on the maps.
Data is displayed for two years. After two years, the oldest data will be removed from the maps once a month. Geolocation precision depends on the GPS signal reception quality at the time of the test. For coverage data, nPerf only retains tests with a maximum geolocation precision of 50 meters.
