Hyundai’s bold N Vision 74 EV supercar concept, designed by the renowned Giorgetto Giugiaro, was originally introduced a couple of years ago and is reportedly moving towards production. This news emerged from Hyundai’s recent investor day presentation, where slides hinted at including the N Vision 74 in the company’s future EV lineup.

In the presentation, Hyundai showcased its ambitious plan to launch 21 electric vehicle models by 2030. This diverse lineup spans affordable vehicles like the Casper, mainstream Hyundai models, and luxury offerings under the Genesis brand. Notably, a “Hyundai N Vision 74” high-performance EV was highlighted, also bearing the “Genesis Magma” branding, indicating a possible crossover between Hyundai’s performance and luxury segments.

The slides emphasized the “N Inherits Motorsports Heritage,” describing it as a “high-performance EV delivering consistent driving pleasure and experience.” The Genesis brand is also set to expand its luxury EV portfolio, with the N and Genesis models building on the existing Ioniq EV lineup.

While earlier reports from Motor1 suggested that Hyundai would produce the N Vision 74 in limited numbers—70 road models and 30 racing variants—Hyundai previously refuted these claims. However, the latest presentation suggests the concept is moving closer to production.

The original Hyundai N Vision 74 concept featured a 62.4-kWh battery pack, an 85kWh hydrogen-powered fuel cell, and a 10-pound hydrogen tank, promising a range of around 373 miles. It was equipped with two rear electric motors delivering 670 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. However, Hyundai has dropped the hydrogen component, focusing solely on a high-performance EV model in the latest iteration.

Design enthusiasts will recognize the Hyundai N Vision 74’s striking resemblance to the iconic DeLorean, also designed by Giugiaro, who is famed for his work on the Lotus Esprit, Maserati Quattroporte, and Nikon’s F3 SLR camera.
