A company called Displace is showcasing a new device at CES 2026 that it claims can turn almost any TV into a fully wireless screen. The Displace Hub is a high-tech wall-mounted device with a powerful battery and a built-in computer.
The Hub uses the same “active-loop suction” technology as the company’s wireless TVs, allowing it to adhere to walls without screws. It also has a rechargeable 15,000mAh battery that can power your existing TV, eliminating the need for ugly power cords.
Additionally, it has a built-in PC that runs Displace’s operating system, which the company calls an “ambient computing platform.”
However, the dream of a truly wireless TV comes with some serious limitations. The Hub supports TVs between 55 and 100 inches and up to 150 pounds, which may not work with everyone’s current setup.
The bigger issue is battery life. Displace says the Hub will last between five and ten hours on a single charge. This means that if you’re a heavy TV watcher, you’ll be recharging it constantly. While you can charge the Hub while the TV is mounted, repeatedly plugging and unplugging your “wireless” TV setup seems to defeat the purpose.
Displace hasn’t announced a release date for the Hub yet, but the company says it will cost a hefty $1,900 when it launches. Pre-orders will be available during CES.
