CMF, the budget-friendly sub-brand of Nothing, has officially introduced three new products: a smartphone, a watch, and earbuds. These products aim to deliver modest prices and features, expanding the company’s reach in the budget tech market.
The CMF Phone 1, following the footsteps of the Nothing Phone 1, features unique design elements that set it apart. One of the standout features is the interchangeable back cover, allowing users to switch colors and designs easily. This design offers customization and access to the phone’s internal components for repairs and maintenance. Additionally, the back cover includes an accessory point that can attach to various accessories like fold-out stands, cardholders, and lanyards.
Regarding specifications, the CMF Phone 1 is powered by an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor and features a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It boasts a “flagship-grade” 50MP main camera sensor developed by Sony, a 5,000mAh battery, and 8GB of RAM. The CMF Phone 1 is available now for just $200, with additional back covers and accessories set to be released later in the month.
The CMF Watch Pro 2, a follow-up to last year’s model, has been redesigned with a rounded shape and offers several new features. It includes an auto-brightness adjustment algorithm, improved sleep tracking, and customizable widgets. The watch has a 1.32-inch always-on AMOLED display, built-in GPS, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, and health-tracking sensors. The battery life promises up to 11 days of use per charge, though this reduces to 9 days with heavy use.
Customization is a key aspect of the Watch Pro 2, with multiple bands and interchangeable bezels available to suit different styles and occasions. Despite these enhancements, the watch remains budget-friendly at $69 and will be available on July 11.
The new CMF Buds Pro 2 earbuds feature active noise cancellation and algorithmic spatial audio, offering a significant upgrade over their predecessors. The charging case includes a customizable control dial that allows users to adjust various aspects of playback. The battery life is decent but decreases significantly when using active noise cancellation. The Buds Pro 2 has slightly increased from last year’s $49 to $59. They will also be available on July 11.
