In a recent unveiling, Xiaomi presented the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro and announced the global release of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 at an event in Berlin. The Smart Band 8, initially launched in China in April, is now making its way to the European market, offering users two attractive color band options. Simultaneously, the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro will enter the market with two connectivity variants – e-SIM and Bluetooth, each available in two distinctive color options.
The Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro boasts a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a sharp resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. It supports a peak brightness level of 600 nits and a pixel density of 326ppi. Powered by a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 wearable platform, it features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. It holds a 5ATM water resistance rating and packs a robust 495mAh battery. The Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro promises up to 55 hours of battery life on the LTE version and 65 hours on the Bluetooth version, weighing 54.5 grams with dimensions of 47.6mm x 45.9mm x 11.8mm. The device runs on WearOS by Google and includes a rotating crown for intuitive control. This smartwatch has a comprehensive set of sensors, including an accelerometer, optical heart rate sensor, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, barometer, and bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 boasts a 1.62-inch AMOLED display, offering a resolution of 192×490 pixels and a pixel density of 326ppi. It holds a 190mAh battery, providing up to 16 days of battery life without the Always-on-Display mode. Weighing 27 grams and measuring 48mm × 22.5mm × 10.99mm, the band has a 5 ATM water resistance rating. Compatible with popular Android 6.0 or iOS 12.0 and above, it provides more than 150 training modes and is a smart health assistant. Monitoring features include SpO2, heart rate, sleep, and menstrual cycle tracking.
