The Turkish stock market ended the day higher on Tuesday, with the main BIST 100 index climbing 0.62%. Strong performances in the technology, textile, and retail sectors drove this positive move. Investors showed a clear appetite for growth, pushing several key companies to new heights.

Among the day’s biggest winners was the energy and automation firm Europower, whose stock rose nearly 5%. The energy producer Aksa Enerji also had a fantastic session, rising over 4.3% to hit an all-time high. The technology company Mia Teknoloji ranked among the top performers, with a gain of almost 4%.

However, not everyone had a good day. Pasifik Teknoloji and Efor Yatırım both saw their stock prices drop by a sharp 10%. The insurance company Turkiye Sigorta also struggled, falling more than 8.5%.

Despite these significant declines, rising stocks outnumbered falling ones on the Istanbul exchange, with 340 companies gaining ground compared to 249 that lost ground.

In the global commodities market, gold continued its upward trend, rising by almost 1% to $4,383.50 per ounce. Oil prices also increased slightly, with Brent crude trading just above $61 per barrel.

In the currency markets, the Turkish lira held relatively steady against the U.S. dollar, with the exchange rate hovering around 42.94. The lira actually gained a little ground against the Euro. Overall, it was a solid day for the Turkish market, showing that even with some individual stocks taking a hit, the broader sentiment remains positive.
