  • Nvidia entered the AI agent market with its NemoClaw platform.
  • NemoClaw aims to improve the security and privacy of AI agents.

Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s CEO, took the stage at the GTC event in San Jose on Monday, updating the world on the company’s latest innovations. Dressed in his signature leather jacket, Huang delivered a two-and-a-half-hour keynote to an audience of around 30,000 attendees. This year’s GTC, often called the “Super Bowl of AI,” revealed a notable change in Nvidia’s overall AI strategy: a stronger emphasis on inferencing and AI agents.

Nvidia’s chips are widely recognized for their versatile applications. They are essential for training and running AI models, controlling robots, and powering self-driving cars. While Nvidia’s products remain industry leaders, newer chip companies like Cerebras and Groq have started developing processors specifically designed for running AI models. This emerging competition poses a potential challenge to Nvidia’s dominant position in the AI market.

Huang and his team addressed this challenge head-on at GTC with a series of announcements aimed at solidifying Nvidia’s leadership in inferencing. A key highlight was the introduction of their Groq 3 chip and rack system, designed to boost inferencing capabilities significantly.

Beyond inferencing, Nvidia also showcased its entry into the rapidly growing world of OpenClaw high-powered AI agents. OpenClaw, which has evolved through several names, gained popularity for its ability to run AI agents powered by various AI models directly on users’ devices through common apps like WhatsApp, Discord, and Slack.

Nvidia is now joining this exciting trend with its new NemoClaw platform. This platform focuses on enhancing the security and privacy of these AI agents, addressing a critical concern as these technologies become more prevalent.

Bob O’Donnell, founder and chief analyst at TECHnalysis Research, told Yahoo Finance, “They are evolving in a big way, not only in inference, agentic, too.” He added, “The switch to OpenClaw, and now NemoClaw, to me, is even more indicative of this. It just shows how quickly they are reacting to the market.” This rapid adaptation demonstrates Nvidia’s commitment to staying ahead in the fast-paced AI landscape.
