The biggest tech show of the year, CES 2026, is officially underway in Las Vegas, and the announcements are already rolling in. It is the first week of the new year, but the tech world shows no signs of slowing down. One of the show’s biggest buzzwords so far is “Micro RGB.” This is a new TV technology that promises brighter and more accurate colors. Both Samsung and LG are showcasing new TVs featuring this technology, including a 130-inch concept model from Samsung. LG is also entering the “art TV” market with its new Gallery TV, a direct competitor to Samsung’s popular “The Frame.”
Speaking of Samsung, the company came to CES with numerous new products. They’ve announced new soundbars, smart speakers, monitors, and an updated version of their Freestyle projector. They also discussed “AI experiences everywhere,” showcasing smart fridges that can recognize your food and help you make a shopping list, and a smart vacuum that can watch your pets while you’re away.

While it’s still just a concept, it shows where the company is headed. LG also debuted a new modular home audio system to compete with Sonos and a new line of ultralight laptops.
It’s not just the big names making a splash. The beauty company L’Oreal is back with a trio of new gadgets, including an LED face mask and an infrared hair styler that uses machine learning to adapt to your gestures.
Of course, we’re still waiting to hear from some of the biggest players, including NVIDIA and Sony. But if the first few days are any indication, 2026 will be a big year for smarter, more connected technology.
