MSI came to CES this year with a whole new lineup of laptops, including a beastly new gaming machine and a fresh look for its handheld console. The star of the show is the Raider 16 Max HX, which MSI is calling its most powerful gaming laptop ever. This unit can deliver 300 watts of power, feeding 175 watts to a top-of-the-line Nvidia RTX 5090 or 5080 graphics card while still supplying 125 watts to the Intel Core Ultra 200HX processor.
To keep all that power from melting, it has a brand-new cooling system with three fans and six heat pipes.
For gamers seeking something more portable, MSI also introduced the new Stealth 16 AI+ laptop. It’s incredibly thin at just 16.6mm and weighs less than 2 kg, yet it packs a punch with an RTX 50-series GPU. The company also rolled out the new Crosshair 16 laptops, which can be upgraded with a beautiful QHD+ OLED display.
It wasn’t all about gaming, though. MSI also refreshed its Prestige line of business laptops.
The new Prestige 14 and 16 are slimmer, feature a more rounded design, and are encased in a full-aluminum body. They are powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and feature a large battery that delivers over 30 hours of video playback.
Finally, MSI gave a new look to its handheld gaming console, the Claw 8AI+. It’s now available in a “Glacier Blue” color and is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 200V processor with Arc Xe2 graphics. This positions it as a strong competitor to other popular handhelds, such as the Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally.
